MISSION OF OUR HOSPITAL : > To provide humanizing, qualitative, holistic and affordable health services >> To emphasise on promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care to all particularly the poor and marginalized >> To engage in social mobilization of the community by creating awareness on rights, duties and responsibilities related to health issues.

VISION OF ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL : To be the message of Christ’s love, healing with care and compassion, helping humanity to celebrate God’s gift of life.

We use healing ministry as a means of spreading God’s love and use our St. Francis Hospital and Dispensaries in Ajmer District for this purpose through our ministry to the sick and ailing people. The dispensaries managed by the Mission Sisters cater to the poor village people to have access to affordable medical care. For major illnesses they go to the city hospitals.

St. Francis Hospital was taken over by the Mission Sisters in 1952 and today it is a 250 bedded multi Speciality health center. Besides maternity, for which the hospital has been widely known, it has medicine, surgery, Paediatric, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, dental department, ICU & NICU, Neurology and Urology departments.

Society of St. Francis Hospital & Nursing Home under which the hospital functions, is a Charitable Society and as such it caters to the health care needs of the common man and has not yet entered into high technology oriented cost intensive treatment.

The Society also manages a 25 bedded Hospice “ASHANIKETAN” for persons living with HIV/AIDS which is located about 20 k.ms. away from the hospital and is run on a totally freeship basis. Currently we have 15 to 20 residential and some OPD patients.

Outreach programs and medical camps are conducted in slums and other backward areas under the leadership of our Sisters. Somalpur village in Ajmer is adopted by the hospital for preventive and curative care of the poor. We also participate in TB control (DOTS) and other Government run medical programmes. Since 1965 we have managed a Nursing School (now upgraded to Nursing College) along with hostel facilities. The Nursing College conducts both Diploma and Degree courses in Nursing.
